Former Miss Universe Catriona Gray once again lent her support to a holistic approach to healthcare and the Smile Trains program which provides comprehensive cleft care.

Gray, in her Instagram post on Sunday, excitedly announced Love Yourself Philippines’ new community center, Balay Marvi, which just opened in Baguio City.

“Balay Marvi provides holistic care: education, screening, prevention and treatment, support and care. As well as playing a critical role in building the region’s capacity to deliver sexual health services,” Gray said.

The center also offered free PrEP or pre-exposure prophylaxis, a pill taken daily by an HIV-negative person to maintain their status and protect against HIV.

Gray invited everyone to visit the center located at the Lopez Building A Rm 303, Session Road (between St Joseph’s Pharmacy and East West Bank.) Wednesday through Sunday, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. excluding public holidays, while supporters can make an appointment online via bit .ly/lybooking.

She also announced the Smile Trains project which helps children suffering from cleft lip or pallet on Saturday October 8, on her Instagram account. She posted two photos, a child with a successful operation and a baby cleft problem.0

“Today is WORLD SMILE DAY! Did you know that every 3 minutes a child is born with a cleft? Gray informed his followers.

Gray said children with cleft issues need help because “a cleft lip or paddle can cause several health issues: difficulty eating or breathing, obstructed speech and most importantly affecting an individual’s confidence.” .

An organization called Smile Train is very helpful to these children because it “provides FREE comprehensive care for clefts (from initial consultations, to operations, to orthodontics and speech therapy),” she said.

Smile Train, according to Gray, works in more than 90 countries around the world and interested parties can visit smiletrain.org.

Gray also claimed that “every child deserves to feel confident to smile and deserves even more to live a healthy, happy life.”

With this, she encourages anyone with cleft lip and cleft palate to join Smile Train and partner hospitals/clinics. Patients can be referred https://www.smiletrain.ph/get-help @smiletrainph. VDE
