Surgical center expands with Woodbury building lease

DAY-OP Center on Long Island is expanding with a new location in Woodbury.

The center, which offers minor outpatient surgery, leased the 13,233-square-foot, 1.38-acre building at 225 Froehlich Farm Blvd.

DAY-OP will be build a Section 28 Surgery Center at the property. Designed to facilitate patient access to primary care services in long-term care facilities and nursing homes, Article 28 centers are diagnostic and treatment centers and general hospital outpatient clinics that may provide offsite services to patients.

DAY-OP currently operates a similar facility on Willis Avenue in Mineola.

The Feil Organization, owner of the Woodbury property, will renovate the building, which will include exterior facade upgrades, site work and interior tenant upgrades with mechanical updates, according to a statement from the company. ‘company.

The property at 225 Froehlich Farm Boulevard is part of the portfolio of six Woodbury medical office buildings that Feil acquired in 2018. Totaling 192,916 square feet, the portfolio also includes 800 Woodbury Road, 65 Froehlich Farm Boulevard, 105 Froehlich Farm Boulevard, 175 Froehlich Farm Boulevard and 99 Sunnyside Boulevard.

Eric Launer and Dawn Mirko of JLL represented the tenant, while Timothy Parlante, leasing manager at The Feil Organization, served as the landlord’s inside representative in the lease transaction.
